The Longer Story:

At Agnes Scott College, Katz studied history, specializing in global learning and creative writing. This course of study allowed her an innovative and uniquely global perspective, demonstrated by her collegiate portfolio, an award-winning website she designed to showcase her writing and student work. In addition, Katz pursued multiple internships that developed her social media management abilities, design skills, and ability to research, analyze, and communicate complex or difficult topics.

Additionally, Katz served as a class officer, Vice President of Membership for Sigma Alpha Iota - Gamma Eta Chapter, and participated in collegiate chorale and chamber choir. On campus, she was notorious for her school spirit. Her honors and accolades are numerous, including two conference presentations, a journal publication, Dean’s List, and more. She graduated Cum Laude with a 3.6 GPA, a Dana Leadership Scholar, and an Omicron Kappa Delta Leadership Honor Society member.

Since graduation, Katz has worked as a paralegal, research and teaching assistant, marketing specialist, and journalism fellow. She is always on the lookout for sought-after leadership and career development opportunities. Through the Jewish Federations of North America and the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, Katz was a member of the Spring 2018 LEADs Cohort and served on the Birthright Atlanta Alumni Committee. Katz was honored to be a fellow in the inaugural Jewish Changemakers fellowship. She was nominated to participate in the Anti-Defamation League’s prestigious Glass Leadership Institute for fall 2020. She was selected as one of 39 fellows out of 500 applicants for the Hearken Foundation’s ElectionSOS Journalism Fellowship. As a journalist, Katz worked with The Telegraph in Macon, Georgia, as an Election SOS Fellow. Katz covered the 2020 elections and interviewed Jon Ossoff, Rev. Raphael Warnock, Stacey Abrams, and Doug Collins. Katz’s work featured in The Forward, Moment Magazine, Alma, and Healthline, and she was a regular contributor for Tablet Magazine’s child publication, Jewcy.

Katz researches like a historian and writes like a journalist. She creates content and manages social media like an influencer. Whether it’s banging out a novel every November, designing merchandise on Redbubble, or pitching articles to national publications, Katz can do it all.
